Who are Avocet Investments?
Established in 2001, Avocet Investments offer assistance to SME Owners, typically in the 500k to £5m turnover range
Sourcing Finance: covering various forms including Bank Loans, Bridging Loans, Invoice Discounting, Leasing, Asset Backed Lending & Private Equity
Business Advice: Avocet has a popular 1=4 Increased Business Value Programme, helping SMEs grow to their full potential & eventual sale. It currently has 7 clients on this Programme, ranging from Packaging & Underfloor Insulation Panels through to IP Automatic Feeder systems for encoding food & health products, & budget price portable lifts for arthrytic people
Business Sales: with its Project Management of the process & researching of potential buyers, Avocet has now been involved in over 50 successful transactions

Interesting fact: tomorrow is the biggest destroyer of today’s productivity
Other hobbies: watching sport, particularly cricket & rugby
Funny story: on my way to see a potential new client, I needed to park & found a scarce space, only to be beaten to it by a brash driver in a 4 x 4. Words were exchanged. After finding another space I arrived at the agreed meeting location, only to find the pirate parker was my potential new client! Fortunately we both saw the funny side of it & he became a client & friend.
Favourite memory: several of happy clients where I had sold their business or found finance for them. For one it meant that he did not after all have to sell his house to find 250k to repay a lender, as I had negotiated better credit terms from a supplier of 45% of stock to him.

Meeting new contacts & discovering ever more ways SME entrepreneurs have found to make money through different services & business models
Why did Avocet Investments join that networking group?
I prefer meeting SME owners & advisers in the flesh, rather than falling back to one dimensional impersonal TEAMS or ZOOM “meetings”.
